We are gradually approaching the end of 2019. Perhaps some of us are looking forward to getaway experience. An opportunity to unwind, take stock, and look forward to 2020.

I present to you Ayikoo beach; a beautiful beach resort that you can visit with the entire family. You will find Ayikoo beach in the Central region of Ghana. It is just 20 minutes drive from Cape Coast and Elmina. Both towns have a rich history, and house some of the biggest colonial castles in West Africa. The beach house is also close to the Kakum national park.

Ayikoo beach

The sandy beach makes Ayikoo a perfect tropical getaway. It boasts of 4 spacious bedrooms (2 large and 2 smaller double rooms, and 4 bathrooms. Also a large living area and a cozy porch with a great view over the Atlantic ocean.

The beach house has a serene and beautiful environment and can be a very relaxing experience for the entire family.

Some leisure activities to enjoy at Ayikoo beach house

The Kakum national park is about 5 minutes drive away from Ayikoo. A good opportunity to take a walk on the canopy walkway as you explore the park

Alternatively one can choose to explore the wide beaches f Ayikoo by taking a leisure walk across it

Fresh fruits such as water melon, coconut, mangoes and pineapples are easily accessible at very short distance from the location. You can enjoy blends of fruit salads as well as home-made fruit smoothies with kitchen accessories in the beach house

Another suggestion is to buy some of the catch of the local fishermen to relish some homemade fish barbecue with the entire family.

Additionally there is a fireplace in the garden at the beach house. This is an ideal spot to relax and unwind, and additionally appreciate the gaze of the night stars and moon.
