Trade Minister, EU sign UNIDO MoU

Ghana’s Minister of Trade, Alan Kyerematen, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Country Programme and the European Union Ambassador to Ghana on the Framework for Industrialisation Programme.

The MoU was signed in Accra on Friday, 29 March 2019.

The programme aims to enhance Ghana’s industrial competitiveness and boost industrial productivity of private sector companies.

The total value of the programme is about €35 million and its various components will be implemented by the ministries, departments and agencies, including the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, the Ghana Standards Authority, the NBSSI; the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation; the CSIR and Ghana Cocoa Board.
