In considering holiday destinations, I present to you Sao Tome and Principe Islands. This is a tiny two Island nation floating in the Gulf of Guinea, across the western equatorial coast in Central Africa. The Islands offer a welcoming and breathtaking experience to all visitors. Its’ terrain is made up of a volcano chain with outstanding rock and coral formations, rainforests and beaches which creates a soothing mood for relaxation for visitors

Interestingly, some recent visitors describe this beautiful place of respite as ‘the Islands that tourism forgot’ . Another writer describes the Islands as “the holiday destination no one has heard of”. Probably because it remains undiscovered by many. However, the time is ripe for Ghanaian holiday makers to explore and discover the amazing places of nature on these two islands

Blessed with natural attractions and long ending beaches, the Islands will offer a well-deserved holiday to Ghanaians, particularly Ghanaians who love to explore nature and natural conservations.

Hints to breathtaking attractions Sao Tome and Principe

Although it costs a fortune to afford holidays in destinations such as the Caribbean, the least can be said about holidaying in Sao Tome and Principe. The place offers a well-deserved holiday break with breathtaking experiences at a reasonable cost. Mind you, the Islands are part of the African continent.

Also, you get to experience the unusual in Sao Tome and Principe. Beyond the clean sandy beaches, nature lovers get to explore unforgettable mountainous sceneries, dense rain forests, and once in a lifetime encounters with birds, whales and dolphins, to name a few. Principe boasts of the Bom Bom island where one can enjoy deep sea fishing; an ideal spot for viewing beautiful whales. This is indeed an experience of a lifetime!

It additionally has a national park with dense forests, waterfalls and sandy beaches. To add to this, there is opportunity to go on boat rides to explore the beautiful coastline and possibly encounter dolphins along the way. Another experience of a lifetime

Likewise, waterfalls gushes from the mountainous landscape on the Islands. One of such is the Cascata Sao Nicolau (Saint Nikolaus waterfall), which is a sight to behold. This lovely waterfall is a wonder as it appears to gush right out of the wall of the jungle. Simply amazing!

The idea of holidaying has come to stay with Ghanaians, its high time holiday lovers begin to explore the unchartered territories of Sao Tome and Principe.
