As technological and social advancements continue to increase, multinational companies are becoming widespread in different parts of the world.

Such is the case with Ghana which now hosts several foreign companies. Over the years, the attractiveness of Ghana as a reliable investment country has increased as foreign food Brands keep entering the Ghanaian market.

Today, ghanatalksbusiness.com has produced a list of some foreign food Brands who have invaded the Ghanaian market and are scooping massive returns.

KFC

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) The quick-service restaurant brand is owned by US-based restaurant group Yum! The local franchisee. In 2011 KFC arrived in Ghana’s capital. Currently branches are dotted almost in all regions in Ghana with the latest being the Temale branch. KFC currently has 12 branches.

Burger King

Burger King, an American global chain of hamburger fast food restaurants arrived in Ghana early 2018. The restaurant is independently owned and operated through a franchise agreement by SIA QSR Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of Servai, a leading airline catering and logistics provider in France and Africa. Burger King first entered the African market via South Africa in 2013 and is since operational in Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Mauritius, Angola, and Ivory Coast.

Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc., has more restaurant locations in the world than any other pizza company. Founded in 1958 in Wichita, Kan., Pizza Hut operates over 16,700 restaurants in more than 100 countries. Pizza Hut restaurants now trade in 13 Sub-Saharan African countries. Pizza Hut opened in Ghana in 2016.

Barcelos

Barcelos Ghana is a Portuguese styled restaurant chain. Barcelos is a leading international brand with well-established outlets in 16 countries. Barcelos specialises in serving chicken meals, family meals, burgers, kebabs, shawarma, hot crispy fries; garlic rolls stir-fries, salads and kids meals.

Chicken Inn

Chicken Inn is famous for its fried chicken, and renowned for serving tasty fried chicken pieces and a wide range of other menu items including hand-cut chips made fresh daily, chicken burgers, slow roasted rotisserie chicken, beef burgers and other favorites including Spicy Wingz, Chicken Bites and the pocket friendly 2piecer meal. Chicken Inn brand also incorporates into its menu, fun meals for the kids at pocket friendly prices.

Pizza Inn

The brand is one of the leading pizza brands in Africa.  It was established in 1994, where the first Pizza Inn opened in Zimbabwe. Pizza Inn has 83 outlets across Africa and is one of the first choices in quick service pizza in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, and Mauritius.

Pizza Inn delivers pizza made with freshly made dough and an all-natural sauce of sun ripened tomatoes, herbs and spices. If you are in Ghana, you can find Pizza Inn joints in the malls and the KIA airport environs.
