Guinness, Kasapreko and others win big at 2018 Ghana Beverage Awards

Several companies were awarded at the third edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards 2018 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel.

Kasapreko Company Limited bagged four awards which included Storm Energy Drink being adjudged the 2018 Product of the Year.

The company also received awards for Bitters of the Year (Alomo Bitters), Manufacturer of the Year (Kasapreko) and Product of the Year (Storm Energy Drink).

Executives of the Kasapreko Company expressed their joy and excitement and promised to always bring out the best product for their consumers.

For us picking this award in 2019 means a lot to us. It means our bitters is still relevant … we are grateful to the consumers of Alomo Bitters…we will continue to make sure that we bring out quality and the best products which can compete with any product in the world to make sure that consumers in Ghana enjoy the best of beverages,” the company’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Chris Addo-Sarkodie told GhanaWeb.

Guinness Ghana was also awarded Beer of the Year, Ciders/RTD of the Year (Orijin Beer) and International Beer of the Year (Heineken Beer). 

The Water of the Year award went to Bel-Aqua and New Beverages of the Year was swept by Kpoo Keke.

Lebo Mohale Marketing Manager, Guinness Ghana said that for the past six decades their consumers have always been at the heart of their products and will continue to maintain the consistency which the brand is built.

“Guinness Ghana brewery PLC we pride ourselves on being the most respected consumable goods in Ghana and we always put the consumer at the heart of everything that we do. We pride ourselves with providing our consumers in Ghana with the best quality product that we can make… We pride ourselves on maintaining consistency and we are so honoured because we have won these awards tonight and all that proves is that our principles in business are what we actually do. So, we don’t just talk the talk but we walk the walk.” 

The third edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards was under the theme: Drink Ghana, Inspiring Excellence in Ghana’s Beverage Industry. 

The award is structured to honour and recognize excelling beverage companies in Ghana, both local and international brands.

Ghana Beverage Awards, organized by Global Media Alliance, is aimed at celebrating and inspiring the beverage industry in Ghana.

Below are the winners of the 2018 Ghana Beverage Awards.

New Beverage of the Year – Kpoo Keke

Fruit Juice of the Year – Blue Skies

Carbonated Soft Drinks (CSD) – Cocacola 

International Spirit of the Year – Jameson

Beer of the Year – Guinness

Bitters of the Year – Alomo Bitters

Liquoring of the Year – Kpoo Keke

Spirit of the Year – Castle Bridge

Ciders/RTD of the Year – Orijin Beer 

Energy Drinks of the Year – Storm Energy Drink

Cocoa/Chocolate/Dairy product of the Year – VitaMilk

Water of the Year – Bel-Aqua

CSR Company of the Year – Twellium Company 

International Beer of the Year – Heineken Beer

Manufacturing of the Year – Kasapreko 

Product of the Year – Storm Energy Drink
