Telecommunication giant, Vodafone Ghana has invested over $700 million to improve its network in line with a directive by Vodafone Group.

Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Haris Broumidis, confirmed the plans.

“Customers in Telecommunications industry buy primarily the network and they appreciate fundamentally a good network and its fundamental for telecom company to provide the best of experience when it comes to network and today we are proud to announce that due to the investments we have done for years and base on independent research conducted across the country Vodafone Ghana is the best when it comes to 3G network and voice clarity,” he added.

Speaking at the launch of Vodafone Network Campaign, Mr Broumidis assured that the company would continue investing in the provision of quality of service.

Director of Technology at Vodafone Ghana, Patricia Obo-Nai said Vodafone Ghana has made a conscious decision to invest not just in its brand and market, but to build a network that is reliable, sound and stable.

“We’ve put in a lot of monitoring tools, and we monitor from the both the network and customer perspective. We always know what the customer is expecting and have dedicated teams to satisfy their needs”, the Director of Technology added.

Mrs Obo-Nai defined network quality as customers being able to talk on the network.

“When a customer picks his phone he should be able to connect quickly. Whilst talking, there should be clarity; he must hear what the other person is saying and be heard as well. He doesn’t expect his call to drop, so he should be able to drive or walk around and have a continuous talk.”
