There are many online threats facing Government or successful private sector organizations. Some of these threats are:  Phishing domains that impersonate the legitimate website of the company, fake social media profiles, leaked confidential or Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about company senior staff, website defacement, where the website pages are defaced by hacktivists or malware is uploaded to websites, DNS poisoning – and redirecting visitors to malicious websites etc. All of these threats are in addition to the usual threats of spam emails, viruses and malware.
‘Managed, a UAE based company, is a leading provider of online threat and risk monitoring and alerting services. Managed has been providing its services to high-visibility Government and Private sector organizations in the MEA region. Mr. Hussain, CEO of Managed said, “Previously the amount of online channels to monitor was relatively small but nowadays with the proliferation of social media and other online channels, the number of monitored areas and the data to be monitored has increased exponentially. This kind of online threat activity is increasing alarmingly in Middle East and Africa.”

Managed has created a very sophisticated service for monitoring all kinds of online threats and risk called BrandHawk, that provides actionable alerts to Government and Private sector clients on a timely basis – so that actions to address the threat can be taken very quickly, thereby removing or minimizing its impact. The system significantly reduces false alerts and each alert is also verified by human analysts in the Managed monitoring center in Dubai, UAE, which is staffed 24x7x365.
