The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has released a new load shedding time table to guide residents and business in knowing when to expect power.

The new schedule starts from February 6 to March 5, 2015 from 6:00am to 7:00pm in the day and from 6:00pm to 6:00am in the night for affected areas.

While some areas go off, others have been put on stand-by and may or may not go off, depending on the quantum of load to be shed.

All communities in the bracket are on load shedding, but all or some may not go off depending on the quantum of power to be shed.

The country currently sheds 650 megawatts during peak periods and 440 megawatts during off-peak hours.

Hospitals and airports are however exempt from the load shedding exercise.
