The Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) has held its first monthly draw in the ‘UMB New You’ promotion at its Kumasi main branch where 10 lucky customers were rewarded with Samsung Galaxy tablets.
The draw, which was supervised by the National Lotteries Authority, was the first of three monthly draws that will be conducted as part of the ‘New You’ promotion.
Five customers in the southern zone, made up of all UMB branches located in the Greater Accra Region, and five customers in the northern zone, made up of all UMB branches located outside Greater Accra, were rewarded in the draw.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Operating Officer of UMB, Mr Stephen Antwi-Asimeng, emphasised the bank’s commitment to always put the interests of their customers first.
He encouraged both existing and potential customers of the bank to actively participate in the promotion.
The UMB official said the bank would make a monetary donation to a charity that supports education in Ghana in connection with the ‘New You’ promotion.
The grand prize of the ‘New You’ promotion is GHc100,000, with the second prize winner driving home a Hyundai ix35. Other prizes include Samsung Galaxy tablets and UMB-branded items.
Under the promotion, customers who open new current and savings accounts are given 50 points. Existing customers automatically received 50 points at the beginning of the promotion. With each deposit of a multiple of GHc200, customers earn extra five points.
To qualify for the monthly draws and the grand draw, customers must have accumulated at least 75 points and a minimum balance of GHc1000 during the promo.
The Samsung Galaxy tablets were presented to the 10 lucky winners at ceremonies at various UMB branches across the country.
