Management of cement manufacturing company, Dangote, has reduced the prices of their products marginally.

This comes on the back of the cedi appreciating against major trading currencies.

The new prices took effect on the 9th of October; a day after largest cement producer GHACEM reduced their prices for similar reasons.

Sales and Marketing manager of Dangote Cement, Joseph Kobina Abu confirmed the reduction from GHc30.75 to GHc28.05.

The over 30% depreciation of the cedi caused businesses to pass on extra cost of production to consumers thereby skyrocketing the prices of goods and services.
