The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has appointed Mr Asante K. Berko as the new Managing Director (MD) and chairman of its Executive Management team.
This appointment was announced in a press release published on the company’s official website.
The 46 years old, Mr Berko, will succeed Mr Isaac Osei, the former MD, who resigned recently from the refinery over undisclosed issues.
Tema Oil Refinery’s new Managing Director comes into the new role with a wealth of experience, spanning two decades in corporate finance and investment.
Mr Berko had served and occupied various executive positions in internationally recognised institutions such as Barclay (now ABSA) Capital, Credit-Suisse, Ernst & Young, LLP, prior to this appointment.
Also, Mr Berko, has also previously served as the Executive Director of Goldman Sachs International, a London based firm.
An the new managing director, Mr Berko is expected to turn the fortunes of Tema Oil Refinery and spur it on to greater success.
