Consumers of Petroleum Products must brace themselves for a possible fuel shortage as oil workers strike today, Tuesday November 18.

Members of the General Petroleum, Transport and Chemical Workers Union are striking over the dismissal of some Ghanaian workers on the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah.

The strike can also disrupt provision of some transportation services.

Fuseini Iddrisu, the General Secretary of the Union told Starr News that if one strike would have a serious impact on the nation if their members comply.

“If the few that we are targeting, if they should embark on a strike for a day it would have a big impact on the nation,” Iddrisu said.
