Full list: Insurance, and reinsurance companies in good standing as at Sep. 2019

The National Insurance Commission (NIC) has released a list of 137 insurance, reinsurance and brokering companies that are in good standing as at September 2019.

The list from the National Insurance Commission comprises of 20 life insurance companies, 28 non-life insurance companies, and three reinsurance companies as well as 86 insurance brokers, reinsurance brokers and loss adjusters.

The latest list from the National Insurance Commission is to inform the general public that all the companies captured on the list are licensed to operate in Ghana.

Meanwhile, The National Insurance Commission, NIC recently shutdown Zeta Insurance Brokerage for operating without a licence for the past five years.

According to the Insurance Commission, several warnings to the firm to cease operations fell on deaf ears. The firm was operating from the headquarters of the Apostolic Church of Ghana near the Cocoa Clinic in Accra.

The Commissioner of Insurance, Yaw Ofori in an interview with an Accra based radio station said the case is under investigation by the police.
