Seychelles emerges top tourist destination in Africa; here are 3 of its best Islands

Republic of Seychelles has emerged top tourist destination in Africa in a just ended Travel + Leisure 2019 World’s Best Award.

Travel + Leisure 2019 World’s Best Award has named Seychelles the top island destination in Africa & the Middle East. The nomination results are from an annual survey conducted by Travel + Leisure, which allows readers of the New York-based travel magazine to rate their travel experiences around the globe. Readers share their opinions on top hotels, islands, cities, airlines, cruise lines, spas, among others.

An aspect of the award scheme is to rate best islands by region on a number of characteristics including the destination’s natural attractions, beaches, activities & sights, restaurants, food, people and friendliness and value.

The Seychelles Islands, winners of 2019 top tourists destination has 115 natural islands in its archipelago. Each island is each unique and different in their own way.

 Here are 3 top Islands in the Seychelles that promises to give tourists the best scenery and and compelling experience .

Mahe Island – The Main Island of Seychelles

Mahe island is the perfect place to start your holiday. Besides Mahe island being the home to the Seychelles International Airport, it is also home to the smallest capital in the world, Victoria. Mahe island also has some very popular beaches, like the famous Beau-Vallon, Anse Royale and Port Launay Beaches.

La Digue Island

La Digue is the second must-see island when every tourist arrives in Seychelles, due to its sheer beauty and authenticity. It is mainly accessed by ferry from Praslin Island (which in turn is accessed also by ferry or by a 15 minute plane ride).

This island is perfect for those who want to get away from the stresses of life and unwind. It comes with many affordable guest houses and small hotels with comfortable accommodation facilities.

Praslin Island
