23 Rural banks made it in the 18th edition of the Ghana Club 100 event which took place on Friday, November 15 2019. The event was organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) at Kempenski Hotel, on the theme “Sustainable Agriculture; The Bedrock of Ghana’s Industrialization Drive”.
The GIPC compiles the top 100 companies in the country to give them due recognition for their performance for the business year.
Of the first 100 companies adjudged the best in the country for the 2018 business year, 23 Rural Banks came through. It indicates the level of potential in that sector for growth as well their latent potential to contribute to the economy. The first of the rural banks is Fiaseman Rural Bank. It should be noted that Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank has made it consistently for over the past 5 years.
Coming tops in the first position is MTN Ghana. They took the award from the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who was the special guest of honour for the event.
